Steps for choosing blinds in your home

Bring in photos of your windows and rooms to your appointment, and share any likes and dislikes you have about your windows and how you use the room you’re updating - our dealers can then assess what blinds will work best for your space.

Sheer fabrics give you a good view to the outside, while room darkening fabrics are perfect for the bedroom.

When you visit a dealers’ showroom you’ll have the opportunity to see the fabrics up close, including the various levels of transparency and fabric texture. Each product collection comes with a comprehensive sample book separated by colour and design stories. The samples from the book are removable so you can compare your selection across different types of blinds.

Alongside the transparency, you’ll notice a number of our fabrics feature special finishes. These include GreenScreen Sea Tex®, blinds made from recycled ocean plastic waste, STAINSTOP for protection against spills and OKEO-TEX® fabrics, meaning no harmful chemicals have been used in the production process.

Smart home control, motorised or hand operated systems? Developed with safety in mind, there are many ways to enjoy smooth operation of your Luxaflex® shades.

PowerView® automation lets you control your blinds to open, close or adjust via our app, voice control or Pebble® remote. This cordless operation makes it an ideal solution for homes with young children.

On top of selecting a method of operation there are other finishing touches available to personalise your blind including, fabric tapes, decorative trims and bracket colours - depending on the product you choose.

Before you’re ready to give the go-ahead on your order, a dealer will come to your home to measure up your windows, ensuring your blinds fit perfectly. You don’t need to worry about digging the tape measure out of the kitchen drawer and triple checking your measurements - we’ll take care of it all.

When your blind is ready for installation, your dealer will arrange a fitting appointment and give an indication of the time needed to fit it. From drilling the wall to setting up your Luxaflex® app if you opt for our automated blinds - our dealers are there to help through all of the installation process.
