Where can a product’s colours and fabrics be found on the website?

You can see your favourite window treatments up close—in a selection of colours fabrics and materials on the product page; To see the full range of options visit your local Luxaflex® showroom.

Please note that due to the nature of printers, scanners, computer monitors, and internet browsers, there will be variations in the colour, texture, detail, contrast and brightness. The best way to get a feel for each colour and fabric is by visiting a local Luxaflex® showroom in person.


Where can I learn more about new products Luxaflex has introduced recently?

New Luxaflex innovations are often featured on the homepage of this website.

Where can I learn more about Luxaflex® newest environmentally progressive products?

Roller Blinds
Environmentally progressive products is our Greenscreen® fabrics which are made with biodegradable and renewable resources, and even recycled PET. Greenscreen® fabrics are available on our popular Screen Roller Blinds.

Most of our roller blinds have been certified by OEKO-TEX® 100, GREENGUARD or Cradle to Cradle. These fabrics are guaranteed to be free of potentially harmful substances and contribute to a healthy indoor environment.

Wood Blinds
Over 90% of the woods available in the Luxaflex® Wood Venetian Blinds collection are FSC® certified.

The FSC logo identifies products that contain wood from well-managed forests, independently certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council®.

This means that the forest of origin has been inspected and evaluated according to the environmental, social and economic principles and criteria, agreed by the Forest Stewardship Council.

Duette® Shades
Duette®Shades are the original energy saving blind, the result of more than 20 years of development, bringing you the perfect combination of style and function throughout your home.

The unique cell structure of Duette® Shades is designed to trap air inside, providing valuable insulation that keeps heat in during the winter, and also cleverly keep the heat out in the summer.

This brings added warmth and comfort, and welcome savings off your energy bills

Venetian Blinds
Luxaflex® Venetian Blinds are made from 98% recycled aluminium and manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Vertical Blinds
In order to guarantee that our products contribute to a healthier living environment, most of our fabric vanes have been certified by OEKO-TEX® 100 and/or GREENGUARD. This means that no harmful substances have been used during the production process and our products ensure better air-quality.

We even offer Cradle to Cradle certified Greenscreen® fabrics created with reusable and PVC-free materials.


What is “UV protection”?

UV stands for ultraviolet. Ultraviolet rays from the sun can be very damaging. It’s important that our products block the sun’s UV rays to protect flooring and furnishings from fading and other types of damage.

UV protection is the measure of the amount of potentially damaging ultraviolet radiation that is blocked by our products. Typically for non-sheer products this is 98% to 99% blockage. Even our sheer products, like Silhouette® Shades can block up to 88% of UV rays with the vanes open.

What does “Design & Craftsmanship” mean when associated with Luxaflex® products?

All Luxaflex® products are designed and custom made in state-of-the-art product development facilities in United Kingdom

Please note that some our commercial products are made outside of United Kingdom. Please visit www.hunterdouglascontract.com for more information about our Contract products.) We believe truly exceptional British design and craftsmanship can’t be matched anywhere else.


Does Luxaflex® sell directly to consumers?

Luxaflex® products are unique. Each product we make is truly “one of a kind,” as they are custom made just for you, in our British facility.

To insure that your experience shopping for, and living with your Luxaflex® product is the very best it can be, our brand is only sold through a national network of professionally trained dealers and showrooms.

At a Luxaflex® showroom you will get expert advice including and professional home measuring and installation services are also provided to make sure you get the right product form your home. That is why Luxaflex® branded products are not currently sold online.


What is your exchange policy?

Luxaflex® products are custom made and therefore are not returnable/exchangeable unless defective according to the Luxaflex® warranty. You can, however, discuss options with your dealer who will work to determine possible solutions.

Where can I get a sample of one of your products?
