Interior trends for 2023

  • Trends

A new year is upon us and with it comes a sense of renewal! It’s time to switch up your interior space and complete those projects that have been on your to-do list for a while.

We’re here to lend a helping hand, rounding up interior inspiration from magazine editor’s predictions to trends from the experts at Pinterest.

Remember, it’s not always about diving head first into a trend, take the elements that appeal to you and make it work for your space and lifestyle.

First Impressions

Reading through Pinterest’s 2023 predictions, ‘home front’ is up there as one to watch, quoted by social platform’s trends team: “In 2023, the front porch will get the spotlight treatment. People are ready to adorn their entrances with elaborate decor and embellishments.”

As we all know first impressions count, so dial up your home’s kerb appeal and make your front door and hallway the focal point - treating this space as an extra room and not just a place for coats and shoes.

If you have a window in your porch or hallway that overlooks the front of your house adding a window covering will not only retain the heat but will look inviting from the outside too.

Play with the light, and think about how it changes throughout the day in your hall space. Window coverings such as the Silhouette® Shades are created with light-loving fabrics in floating vanes, to enjoy beautiful daylight whilst filtering out glare.

Or, if you’re feeling bold, a patterned roller blind will add a playful touch without the need for a complete hallway makeover. Bring in complementary accessories in a range of textures to pick out the blind’s key colours.

Wellness in the home

Creating a sanctuary at home and bringing wellness rituals into everyday tasks will gather more momentum this year as people look to invest more in self-care, more so in rooms that you spend a lot of time in such as the living room, bedroom or bathroom.

Ideal Home magazine highlights: “wellness has been a huge buzzword over the last year and with that comes an increase in people wanting to take time for themselves”.

Integrating smart home features such as PowerView® Automation can help to control not only the light in the room but assist with comfort levels too.

You can schedule blinds to open and close at times to suit you, varying by room as needed via voice control, an app or remote.

And, don’t forget to open window coverings during the day, allowing natural light in and the positive benefits this brings, including vitamin D intake and a boost to serotonin levels.

Adding to this, when shades are open the sun will heat your room, you can gradually lower Luxaflex® blinds into the evening, using PowerView® Automation, retaining the heat and helping to save on energy costs.

Having fun with design

Bring joy into your home this year with a touch of dopamine decor - embrace colour, patterns and prints.

The editorial team at House Beautiful are stating 2023 is the year of having a ‘bit of fun with design’ and we’re all for it!

We love a pop of colour at the window or a bold print, some of our latest designs incorporate elements of nature, abstract and geometric patterns. Look out for the inspiration pages on our website organised by colour, featuring an array of lifestyle imagery so you can find a shade that works for your home.

Our LightLine® Roller Blinds collection allows you to get creative, the panel segments on the blind can be customised with different colours and patterns to express your individual style.
